On Friday night we ate, picnic style, in the pavilion.
We had most of our family with us.
There were Baggarleys from London, McNenys from near and far and Kelloggs.
It’s always wise to invite a trusted friend to family gatherings so that a group photo can be taken without hurting anyone’s feelings!
We did quite well for the first time to eat down in the Pavillion.
The weather was mild, we had a long table covered with a checkered tablecloth and laden with burger fixings.
We brought chairs from the house,
used a charcoal grill that smoked just enough to keep the insects under control.
There were wooden deckchairs made by McNenys,
a cooler with wine, beer and cider,
and lots of good music to enhance the homemade fare and loosen up the crowd.
and last but by no means least,
the hosts of the evening,
Enjoying all our children under one roof for a few hours.
