My youngest daughter was home with us for a few days. She is back in Leigh-on-Sea to honour her work commitment so she can pay her debts. In this cold and frosty weather I admire her. She was up this morning while it was still icy on the ground.
She and I went shopping for Christmas goodies and we were waiting in the self serve line when I heard her say,
“Ah, he’s so cute.”
Thinking she was talking of a baby or toddler I looked around and asked her,
“Who?”
“That little guy next to us.”
I looked down and there was a midget scanning his purchases, dressed neatly in jeans and a leather jacket.
I nodded, I mean I couldn’t say anything, he was right there.
As we were leaving with our purchases we saw three midgets ahead of us, of various sizes, they were walking from smallest to tallest, the latter being all of three feet.
I was curious as to the reason they were all in town together apart from going Christmas shopping so I kept my eyes peeled for clues.
As we passed the entrance to the Bromley park, where many a picnic has been had by our family this summer, I noticed a pamtomime poster which read,
“Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.”
That was it! The reason!
